The party tried to fire my Pally and hire the elk as a replacement. The Fire Giant tries an op attack when the elk leaves, but is disadvantaged because of being prone, and misses it again. The elk charges the fire giant and knocks it prone when the giant Nat-1s a measly DC 13 Strength check, buying the party time to gather up the KO'd members and run for it. The party has gotten beaten to a pulp by the orogs and the giant, so they sound the retreat. An orog misses it with a javelin (DM curses incredulously and switches dice). It finishes off a badly-wounded orog with a normal attack (no charge this time, since it was too close). These cults are devoted to the Princes of Elemental Evil and serve. Secretly, the cults have come together to unleash an unknown catastrophic force.

Nothing attacks it this round, because the wizard and the cleric are causing more trouble. Across the North of Faern, four different elemental cults have caused natural disasters by utilizing devastation orbs. He smooths his white-blond hair into place, then bows low before you as if he were only a lowly courtier. Embossed feather patterns ornament the plates of his armor, and his kingly cloak boasts a feathered mantle. Buy the book from Game Kastle to support the D&D. The commander of the Feathergale Knights is a well-built male human in his early fifties. It charges another orog, and crits again. The fire giant misses with a rock, and an orog misses with multiattack (this is getting ridiculous). It rolls max damage, and the orog (who had taken a little more damage since the Fireball, but not much) dies. Since it got its charge attack (the orogs had spread out to avoid another Fireball) it got 3d6+3. The elk crits the first one it attacks and gets its charge in. The wizard had dropped a Fireball on the orogs in round 1, so they were already weakened by ~half. The DM made open rolls and none of them hit. Its AC was a measly 13, and its HP was pretty much one hit and it's dead.

Or at least the party was, since I got hit with a rock by the giant and KO'd in the first round. We were fighting a Fire Giant and some Orogs.
